A classic New England winter wedding at Tupper Manor
Zoe and Stephen’s February wedding at Tupper Manor was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and cozy winter charm. From the very beginning of the day, there was an air of excitement paired with beautifully simple, classic details that made the entire celebration feel effortless and meaningful.
The morning began quietly as Zoe got ready surrounded by her closest family. Her mom helped her into a stunning off-the-shoulder gown and secured her shoes before we stepped out onto the balcony for some portraits. The soft winter light and historic architecture of Tupper Manor created the most beautiful backdrop for these early moments of the day.
Meanwhile, Stephen and his groomsmen gathered in the billiards room where they finished getting ready, fastening cuff links and boutonnières before adding the final touches to their classic look. We snuck outside for a few candid groomsmen photos while we could, watching the winter weather carefully and waiting to see what it would do next.
Why Tupper Manor is such a beautiful winter wedding venue
Located in Beverly, Massachusetts, Tupper Manor is one of those venues that feels elegant in every season, but there is something especially magical about it in the winter. The historic manor, grand staircase, and sweeping balcony provide stunning indoor portrait locations while the grounds and stone architecture make for incredible outdoor photos when the weather cooperates.
For Zoe and Stephen’s wedding, the cozy indoor ceremony space was the perfect setting for a winter celebration. Even when the New England weather is unpredictable, Tupper Manor offers beautiful spaces that allow the day to flow seamlessly.
Zoe and Stephen’s wedding day story
As guests gathered inside the manor, Zoe and Stephen’s ceremony began — short, sweet, and incredibly heartfelt. Surrounded by family and friends, the two exchanged vows and officially began their next chapter together.
After the ceremony, we quickly headed back outside to take advantage of the mild February weather and capture some portraits on the grounds. The clouds actually worked in our favor, giving us soft, beautiful light for their photos. And of course, we made sure to capture a few classic winter shots outside the manor.
While Zoe and Stephen warmed up inside, I slipped into the reception space to photograph the beautiful winter florals and tablescapes before guests transitioned from cocktail hour. The room was filled with elegant seasonal touches that perfectly complemented the manor’s historic charm.
Once everyone gathered inside, Zoe and Stephen shared their first dance — a moment that was especially meaningful since Zoe is a trained dancer. Their choreography was beautifully executed and such a fun surprise for their guests.
Not long after, the dance floor opened and the celebration truly began. Zoe’s coworkers especially made sure the party stayed lively all night long, filling the dance floor and keeping the energy high.
Before the night ended, we stepped outside one last time for a few nighttime portraits in front of the manor. With the soft glow of the building behind them, Zoe and Stephen shared a quiet goodnight kiss — the perfect ending to their classic New England winter wedding.
